Admittedly I’ve fallen into this trap a few times already. After a few years of experience you become more astute in judging the value of a new tool. Though in most companies it doesn’t happen like this. Constantly changing tools will result in legacy nightmares.
Of course such legacy nightmares are also what prevent certain innovating tools from being used. So it really does go both ways.
But one should always look at any new tool very well before adopting it as the next software messiah.
